Do you manufacture furniture? Are you from the UK? Are you proud of your achievements? Find out how receiving this ‘award of excellence’ and being a ‘Guild Mark’ holder can have benefits to you and your business. We will also be discussing the application process and the award criteria.
This is a free business event which can be accessed anywhere – your home, or even your office where your colleagues may join you! British Furnishing Manufacturers are encouraged to attend the free Open Day this November, held by Biesse UK and the Furniture Makers' Company.
About the Award
Awarded by The Furniture Makers’ Company, the Guild Mark has been the mark of excellence, distinguishing Britain’s top furnishing manufacturers since 1993. This is awarded on completion of a successful independent audit, performed by FIRA International. Assessment standards include manufacturing, design, product quality, marketing, finance, commitment to training, employment conditions, and sustainability.
Manufacturers of any size including furniture, beds, upholstery, kitchens, carpets, and flooring, are eligible to apply for the mark. 19 manufacturers are currently Guild Mark holders including Delcor, Ercol, Gratnells, Herman Miller, Jay-Be and Wren Kitchens.
